We hosted Dr. Reddy's Laboratories' management for investors' meetings in Mumbai last week. Here are key takeaways from the investors' interactions.
High contribution from gRevlimid Investor sentiment remains cautious due to the anticipated decline in gRevlimid contributions from FY26F onwards. As per the latest 20-F filings, global oncology generic sales rose to $1.02 billion in FY25 from $230 million in FY22—before the US launch of gRevlimid—indicating the drug's substantial role in this growth. Given its high profitability, any decline in gRevlimid sales could weigh heavily on margins. Although management did not disclose its exact contribution, they reiterated confidence in achieving the targeted 25% EBITDA margin over time. However, short-term volatility is expected during the transition from gRevlimid to newer growth drivers such as semaglutide.
Management identified four drivers to sustain growth and profitability post-gRevlimid:
