Tata bets on Tiago to revive hatchbacks

TATA MOTORS ON Thursday launched the new Tiago hatchback at a starting price of ₹4.69 lakh for the petrol variant, as the company seeks to revive interest in the small-car segment that has steadily lost ground to sport utility vehicles (SUV).
The Tiago CNG starts at ₹5.79 lakh, while the electric version is priced at ₹6.99 lakh. Tata Motors has also introduced a battery subscription model for the Tiago EV, under which the introductory price comes down to ₹4.69 lakh, with an additional battery payment linked to usage.
