Stalled monsoon likely to revive by middle of June

AFTER MAKING AN early onset over Kerala, the progress of the south-west monsoon has been stalled since last week due to intrusion of dry air from arid regions into the west and north-west parts of India.
The monsoon set over the Kerala coast on May 24, its earliest onset in 16 years, and is now likely to revive by the middle of this month and would subsequently advance over eastern and central regions during June 12-18, experts said.
