Dr Shailesh Jha, Senior Consultant Psychiatrist, Apollo Hospital, says, "Climate change can have major impacts on mental health. There could be direct and indirect effects. More frequent and intense extreme heatwaves, floods, storms, droughts can cause trauma, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)."

We as humans are designed to be living in the lap of nature but while building our big cities we have come too far away from nature and there is hardly any green cover left in our surroundings which negatively impacts our state of mind and enhances stress levels.
