Ocean View library bids farewell to Marlene

Ocean View library said goodbye to librarian Marlene Davids, whose support for the library team and community has left a lasting impression.
Ms Davids, whose last day was Wednesday, April 30, joined the Ocean View library in November 2022. During her time there, she introduced a range of community-driven programmes, many flourishing beyond expectation.
“Some of the most rewarding moments were seeing the children excited about reading programmes, career exhibitions, and our Monday morning storytime for babies,” she said. “At first, staff were unsure if it would work in Ocean View — but it did. Mothers came with their little ones, we sang songs and read stories, and the interaction was beautiful to witness.”
