No City player gave a good account of themselves, says temp skipper

EXETER City stand-in skipper Jack Fitzwater admitted that none of the Grecian players gave a good enough account of themselves in their Easter Monday defeat to Crawley Town. City were easily beaten 3-1 against the Red Devils who picked up a vital three points in their attempt to avoid relegation.

No City player gave a good account of themselves, says temp skipper

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Panutche Camara had put Scott Lindsey's side two goals up inside ten minutes, before Hepburn-Murphy made it three with only a quarter of the game played. Caleb Watts' header gave City some hope - but that was about as good as it got for Exeter who failed to create much of note.

It was only a third defeat in 13 for the Grecians, and a first against a side in the bottom half since August, but saw them drop down to 16 th in the League One table, and ended any hopes of bettering last season's points tally of 61 points.
