Vardy'tried to throw Rooney off the scent with bogus hack claim’

COLEEN ROONEY was set to take centre stage today in the “Wagatha Christie" High Court libel trial – after it was claimed Rebekah Vardy tried to throw her “off the scent" with a bogus hacking allegation.
Rooney, the wife of England record goalscorer Wayne, was due to start giving evidence about her DIY detective work to expose the friend who was leaking stories to the Sun newspaper.
The results of her sleuthing, which earned her the “Wagatha Christie” nickname, were dramatically revealed in an October 2019 social media post concluding: “It's.........Rebekah Vardy's account".
Vardy, who denies being the source of the leaks, faced an intense day of questioning yesterday in which she broke down crying three times.
