THE chef who catered at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding has reportedly flown to Australia — just in case Taylor Swift decides to eat at her restaurant in Sydney.

Clare Smyth, 45, who was awarded three Michelin stars for her Notting Hill restaurant Core in 2021, has jetted to Sydney where the megastar is gearing up to perform four shows as part of her record-breaking Eras tour.

The singer is staying in the £20,000 a night 88th-floor penthouse at the Crown Sydney hotel, where Smyth has the Australian branch of her restaurant — called Oncore. It has been reported that Smyth is on hand in case the singer wants to make a booking. “Crown Sydney is still relatively new and having Taylor staying there is the best publicity they’ll get since opening,” an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle. “They’ve spared no expense, increased security and had staff sign non-disclosure agreements to ensure her stay is nothing but perfection.”
