BOSS BELIEVES BIG AWAY WINS CAN INSPIRE PLAYERS TO END ETIHAD PAIN

- Simon Colings

ARTETA: WE MUST DRAW ON HISTORY

MIKEL ARTETA has told his Arsenal players to draw inspiration from big wins at Manchester United and Tottenham as they bid to end their Etihad Stadium hoodoo tonight.

Arsenal visit Manchester City for a top-of-the-table showdown that could determine the outcome of the Premier League title race.

The Gunners can open up an eight point lead, but three consecutive draws have handed the initiative to City and Arsenal have not won at the Etihad since January 2015.

Arsenal have suffered seven straight defeats at City, including a 5-0 humbling last season and a 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup this season.

But Arteta has a history of securing momentous away wins since taking charge of Arsenal and he is using that history to inspire his players.
