City scientists awarded funds for research into rare disease

Scientists at Edinburgh University have been awarded funding of more than £48,000 to progress research into a rare neurodegenerative disease.

Two research grants from the UK charity The PSP Association (PSPA) will support studies aimed at better understanding Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a complex and life-limiting neurological condition, so that it can be diagnosed faster and targets for future treatments established.
