Rescue New schemes and funding support have helped young people in poverty
Young people are being rescued from poverty thanks to new schemes and funding support, according to a new report.
The Local Child Poverty Action Plan for 2024-2026, which will be presented at the council's tackling poverty, inequalities, and housing sub committee next Tuesday, confirms that child poverty levels have dropped from 26.9 percent to 22.7 percent in the region.
The document also highlights some case studies to demonstrate the impact of support now being offered.
