Doonhamers defender 'over the moon'after dominant display in impressive defeat of Hamilton

Queens captain Matty Douglas was “over the moon” as he bagged his first ever career hat-trick.
Douglas was instrumental as the Doonhamers rounded off their fixtures for 2025 with an impressive four-one home win over Hamilton Accies.
And the defender couldn't hide his delight as he took the match ball home, saying: “I never thought I'd score two in a game, never mind three. It’s such a good feeling.
“It's my first hat-trick and will probably be my last, but we'll take it.
“All the lads are absolutely buzzing for me, I'm just over the moon and I don't think I'll get over this for a while.”
Douglas opened the scoring after 12 minutes before finding the net again on the stroke of half time and secured his third early in the second half.
