What does it cost to move to the jewel of Kent's coast?
Dover Express
|July 10, 2025
IN a county as beautiful and varied as Kent, finding the right place to live can be quite the challenge.
However, there seems to be one seaside town in particular that everyone is calling the best place to move.
Folkestone has boomed in popularity over the last few years, thanks in no small part to its rise as a trendy arty destination, as well as the town's flourishing harbour, swathe of new properties, and continued media attention.
In just the last two years alone, the town has been called the best place to live in the south east by the Sunday Times, ranked as the top place to settle down by KentLive readers, hailed among the UK's underrated gems, and listed as one of the nation's best seaside resorts.
