Pub could be reopened with rooftop seating area after a year's closure

PLANS have been announced to reopen a Derbyshire village pub which has been closed for around a year.

Proposals for the Mount Pleasant Inn, in Mount Pleasant Road, Repton, would see the pub gain a new rooftop seating area as part of a single-storey rear extension.

South Derbyshire District Council officers have recommended the plans be approved at next week's meeting.

The application, from Rajinder Singh Fagura, states that work on the project began in July last year.

A listing from property agent Allsop shows the unoccupied pub was sold at auction last February for £321,000.
