Fears for town shopping centre after store closure

SHOPPERS have shared their concerns about empty units at a shopping centre following the closure of a well-known fashion brand.

On Wednesday, Select in the Albion Centre, Ilkeston, shut for good, marking the loss of yet another clothing retailer in the centre.
“When you walk through the centre, so many units are empty, and you just worry that soon there will be nothing left,” Ilkeston resident Ruth Wilson said.
"You still see people about, which is good, but it does worry me how many shops are empty.
“It doesn't look like there's anything happening with any of the units, and it just makes me think what if they're never filled?
