Evans: It's time for us to bounce back

BURTON Albion leader George Evans insists the New Year's Day Reading tie is an opportunity to 'put right' the Wigan loss.

Albion were defeated by two goals in a flat display just three days after a 5-1 thumping of Northampton but the quick turnaround again provides another opportunity to get three more points on the board.

Reading are in the top ten as it stands but such is the competitive nature of the table, Burton are only two points behind and could leapfrog them with a win.

It will be another tough task, especially with so many currently unavailable due to injury and illness.

Evans said: “We don’t want to start making excuses and blaming. We've got a job to do and the ones that are fit need to do that.
