Drivers warned of disruption as tree works to close road

CHECK FOR ASH DIEBACK WAS CARRIED OUT
A MAIN Derbyshire road that hugs the edge of the Peak District is set for nearly two months of closures in the new year, with disruption expected for motorists in the area.
Derbyshire County Council has confirmed that a section of the A5012 Via Gellia will be subjected to daytime closures throughout January and February 2026.
It comes after the road was closed for four hours last Tuesday while inspectors assessed the area for ash dieback disease.
