DERBYSHIRE made a good fist of an unlikely run chase on the last day against Glamorgan at Cardiff before a late flurry of wickets left them hanging on for a draw.

That they achieved with the injured Luis Reece and last man Blair Tickner managing to play out the last few overs.

At one stage it began to look as if Derbyshire would get to a target of 330 with Brooke Guest and Martin Andersson going well but when the pair's fifth-wicket stand of 97 was broken, the county lost wickets in a bid to keep up with the chase.

For Glamorgan, 21-year-old Ben Kellaway was the hero with an excellent 74 in the morning which allowed the home side to set up a sporting declaration at lunch, then taking 5-101 as Derbyshire went in search of 338 in 65 overs to win.

The day began with all results possible.

Glamorgan began slowly but then accelerated towards lunch with Chris Cooke and Kellaway batting well.
