A MAJOR development at a former factory building in Derby has taken a major step forward after being given the green light by Derby City Council.

The authority has approved plans submitted by famed stuntman and freerunner Damien Walters to construct a film studio and stunt training academy in the former Aida Bliss factory in Chester Green.

Aida Bliss Factory is now expected to be divided into three areas: a gymnasium, film studios and a fitness and rehabilitation area.

The council says the proposal is an “acceptable” form of development that “accords with the development plan” as a whole.
