FORWARD WAS FRUSTRATED BY PLAY-OFF DEFEATS IN LAST SPELL WITH RAMS

- By LEIGH CURTIS

ANDI Weimann is thrilled to be back at Derby County and says he has a “little bit of a point to prove”

The former Aston Villa man became the club's third summer signing on Tuesday when he penned a one-year deal after leaving Blackburn Rovers.

Weimann had the chance to stay at Ewood Park but has followed defender Danny Batth in leaving Rovers to be reunited with Rams head coach John Eustace.

The 33-year-old makes his return to Derby seven years after leaving for Bristol City and during his first spell with the Rams, they twice made the Championship play-offs.
