DERBY County, Stoke City, Hull City, Preston North End and Luton Town head into today's final day of the Championship season knowing one will go down and all know a win will guarantee their survival.

- By LEIGH CURTIS

Cardiff City (44 points) have had their relegation confirmed and Plymouth Argyle (46 points) are as good as doomed because they would need a 14-goal swing as well as results to go their way.

But the third spot in the drop zone is yet to be decided

Hull at the weekend.

That has left Derby with their fate in their own hands heading into the final-day clash against the Potters.

Here are the permutations and who needs what as the Rams battle for Championship survival.

How does the table look? What are the final day fixtures?

Saturday, May 3 (all 12.30pm): Bristol City v Preston, Derby v Stoke, Portsmouth v Hull, Swansea v Oxford, West Brom v Luton.

So what are the permutations?

All five teams know that they will be safe with a win because Stoke are playing against Derby so at least one of those two will drop points.

Stoke know that they will be safe with a win or a draw.

A draw might not be enough for Derby but only if all three of Pres-ton, Luton and Hull win.

A draw might not be enough for Preston - but only if Derby and Stoke are drawing and Luton and Hull win.
