'Prince of Darkness' Osbourne dies weeks after farewell concert

THE music world was shaken to its core on Tuesday night with the news that legendary Black Sabbath front-man and rock star Ozzy Osbourne had passed away at the age of 76.

The hard rock icon passed away peacefully surrounded by family, just weeks after his emotional final performance in his hometown Birmingham.

He is survived by his wife Sharon and their children, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and stepson Louis.

His family confirmed the news in a heartfelt statement signed with their names: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.

“We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
