A WOMAN and her brother were shot dead, allegedly by a police captain, during a family celebration in Protea late on Saturday night.
According to police, the gathering was to celebrate the birthday of the captain's girlfriend, who is also a police officer.
It is alleged that the captain called the girlfriend aside before drawing his firearm and shooting her and her brother.
Three other civilians were injured in the shooting.
