'Jealous' boyfriend in court after alleged gender-based violence incident

A NYANGA ou appeared in court on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend due to his apparent jealousy of her co-parenting relationship with her baby daddy.

The victim, who asked not to be named, told the Daily Voice that she had been dating the guy for three months and told him after she finished her nightshift last Saturday that she had to sort some things out with her baby daddy.

She said the guy told her that she could sort it out in the morning and wused her to come to his house after work.

"Apparently he drank because I saw a case of Savannah on the table and there were two bottles left," the victim recalled.
