Runaway Tygerberg pace-ient vat die pad in blue hospital klere in attempted escape bid

VINNIG: The patient made it some distance from the hospital

SECURITY officials at Tygerberg Hospital had their hande vol when they had to chase down a patient who was pacing down the street in an effort to escape from the hospital while on treatment.

The moment was captured on video by a motorist and has been making the rounds on social media this week, with mense making gat of the serious situation.

The patient can be seen running down the street while dressed in his blue hospital robe, with a security guard holling after him with a walkie-talkie in hand.
