‘Fraudster’ arrested after being spotted by victim

AN ALLEGED fraudster skrikked him boeglam when he was vasgevat and held until the cops arrested him after conning a woman from Ruyterwacht out of R30 000.

Last Tuesday, the 40-year-old man was caught in Ruyterwacht by a woman who remembered his face and scams and was vasgedruk by the Neighbourhood Watch at a printing shop where they phoned the police.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that an arrest has been made.

He said: “Kindly be advised that a 40-year-old male was arrested on a charge of fraud.

He will appear in the Goodwood magistrate’s court once he has been charged.”
