Eight injured as taxi and bus collide

ONE person sustained serious injuries while seven other passengers suffered minor injuries when a minibus taxi collided with a Golden Arrow bus yesterday morning.

The incident took place in Belhar in the early hours on the corner of Erica Drive and Chestnut Way.

Passengers in the taxi were injured but no injuries were reported to the passengers transported by the bus.

Police spokesperson Anelisiwe Manyana referred enquiries to the City of Cape Town, saying that Law Enforcement officials attended to the crime scene.
