BONTEHEUWEL MASS STREET BOEKA

THIS holy month of Ramadaan has seen many communities come together to break bread and their fast in more communal ways.

The Bonteheuwel Islamic Youth Movement (BIYM) held their third annual mass street boeka on Sunday in Bluegum Street with around 2 000 mense in attendance.

Chairperson of the BIYM, Luqmaan Etalla, said that the street boeka is not just for Muslims, but for all faiths in the community.

Luqmaan explains: “The purpose of the street boeka is to unite organisations and different faiths in the area and it was a big success in that regard.
