ATHLONE crime fighters are concerned about the bodies piling up in the area.

This, after police confirmed that another murder victim was found in the vicinity, following reports of two killings in gang-related violence.

The Daily Voice reported on Monday, 9 February, that two victims were shot on Friday night in separate incidents.

A police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, reported: “Athlone SAPS members were also alerted to a shooting incident at Springbok Street, Block 26, Kewtown in Athlone, in which an unidentified adult male was shot and fatally wounded.
