NEWCASTLE are on the verge of a double swoop for Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey and Brentford striker Yoane Wissa in time for the big kick-off.
Ramsey (left) and Wissa (right) are primed to follow hot on the heels of AC Milan's German international Malick Thiaw, who finalised his £35m move on Tuesday night.
It will take Newcastle's spending to over £100m inside a week and provide a timely boost to coach Eddie Howe, who has endured a turbulent and frustrating summer.
