Snapper captures an unchanged way of life

A HORSE rearing up from its cart, a boy with his dog, a priest blessing a child. These rare photographs capture aspects of traveller life unchanged through the centuries.

The images were taken by German photographer Frederik Ruegger, who visited horse fairs in the UK and Ireland and who forged a close enough bond with the traveller communities that they allowed him to document their unique way of life.
