BRITS say "sorry" an average of nine times per day, language experts have found.

The UK's "sorry culture" baffles foreigners as we endlessly apologise without really meaning it.

A study by language learning platform Babbel said: "The word has become a hallmark of British understatement. Most of the time people don't use it to apologise.
