A Booking.com poll, centred on holiday predictions for 2026, has revealed we would be happy to use everything from psychics to star signs when planning a perfect break. Here JAMES MOORE examines the research to discover the unusual motivations behind our future travels and offers up some cheeky tips too...

On a cosmic adventure: Astrology-loving Brits would be prepared to use the stars to decide on a holiday. For example, nearly half of us would reconsider our travel plans based on a horoscope waming, with 43% thinking of adjusting them if Mercury was in retrograde.

Star tip: Somewhere near the Tropic of Capricorn?

Spooky ideas: Nearly four in 10 of us say we'd be influenced by mystical influences when planning holidays, from timing trips with the phases of the moon or the solstices, to visiting suppos edly “energy-rich” sites. Star tip: A Stonehenge staycation.
