Light looks good thing to outshine rivals

WHEN she made a sparkling winning debut by five and a half lengths over today's trip at the Curragh from 20 toiling rivals last month, IPANEMA QUEEN (2.30) looked a juvenile filly to follow. Adrian Murray had a two-year-old run very well in the Coventry Stakes on Tuesday, so the 20-1 each-way about this lady in the Albany Stakes run over six furlongs at Royal Ascot is an insult.

Charlie Appleby has decided to drop SHADOW OF LIGHT (3.05) back in trip for a tilt at the Commonwealth Cup run over six furlongs after he was beaten a length into third in the 2,000 Guineas. Runner-up Field Of Gold gave the form a massive boost when running away with the St James's Palace Stakes on Tuesday and this son of Lope De Vega snared the Dewhurst Stakes over seven furlongs and the Middle Park over this afternoon's trip at Newmarket in the autumn. He looks a good thing.
