RAAHEEB has huge shoes to fill but the brother of Baaeed and Hukum made an accomplished start to his career with a debut win at Ascot yesterday.

The two-year-old, trained by Owen Burrows (below), who guided Hukum to King George glory in 2023, had been kept back by his handler until the ground eased.

And on soft going he comfortably accounted for the more experienced Pompette in a 7f maiden, scoring by a length and a quarter under Jim Crowley, watched by owner Sheikha Hissa bint Hamdan Al Maktoum.
