Life of Bryan to take another upturn

- by STEVE ANDERSON

BRYAN MBEUMO can give Manchester United’s season another massive lift today by helping to secure a third successive Premier League win.

But although the Red Devils have home advantage against Brighton, they won't get an easy ride from Fabian Hurzeler’s visitors.

Brighton have enjoyed plenty of success in the fixture in recent seasons, having won on their last three league visits to Old Trafford.

But Ruben Amorim’s United are buoyant after Mbeumo’s quickfire opening goal set them on their way to a memorable victory over Liverpool at Anfield last weekend and they should have the edge today. Despite all the negativity surrounding United so far this term, the fact remains that they sit only three points behind second-placed Manchester City.

With the top half of the table so tight this early in the season, arun of decent results could easily see them push their way into the top three or four.

That rise up the table has been helped by their home form, with three victories coming after their narrow defeat to Arsenal back in August.
