AFTER almost 30 years of The Libertines, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat now only "talk" via typewriter.

Despite sharing a tour bus the rock 'n roll pair rarely see one another and have resorted to communicating like a married couple heading for divorce.

Pete shared: "Carl is very difficult, he doesn't really like to talk in the morning.

"And so I left a typewriter on the bus and we were communicating by written missives for the best part of the tour."
