Isak is backed to shine

ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER hailed "amazing" Alexander Isak for netting his first Premier League goal for Liverpool and insisted his teammates know how good he is.

Isak, who joined the champions for a British-record fee of £125m from Newcastle in the summer, scored the opening goal as they beat West Ham on Sunday to move into the top half of the table.

The Swede has struggled to replicate his best form since his move to Anfield.

But Mac Allister said: “I am really happy for him. He's an amazing player, we all know that.

“I was joking with him because he doesn’t even smile when he scores!
