“IT’LL be 28 years ago on September 15,” laughs Iwan Roberts.

“Not that it means that much to me!” It was the first hat-trick by a Wolves player

at the Hawthorns. And remains the only one.

Seven thousand fans made the short trip across the Black Country from Molineux and the Welshman played his part in a memorable 4-2 victory.

A treble, the matchball – and all done in front of his mum and dad sat grinning in the stands.

“It’s crazy, looking back,” said Roberts. “How a few moments in one game endears you to the supporters forever.
