Chef's new show shares his family life – and drama

GORDON Ramsay's new documentary may be hard to stomach for the Peaty family as it features their son Adam gushing about his love for the TV chef.Ramsay is famous for being hotheaded with a penchant for profanity and a blind spot for other people's feelings. He's all those things in the Netflix show, but viewers will also see an unexpected softer side.

Gordon opens up about the steely ambition that spurred him to a £180million empire, his father's alcoholism and how Tana, his wife of almost 30 years, found him irritating and arrogant when they met.

Over six episodes, Being Gordon Ramsay covers his tough childhood, friendship with David Beckham and his daughter Holly's tumultuous wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

Peaty's parents Caroline and Mark previously had a close relationship with their son, which has deteriorated over the last year and led to them missing his wedding.

But Adam is very close to his father-in-law and the way he speaks about the TV chef, you could be forgiven for thinking he was his own dad.

He says: "Gordon is very fair, very respectful, but also loves a good joke. We're very similar."
