Fans force FIFA into price cuts

FIFA have released a new set of cut-price World Cup tickets in the wake of the backlash over pricing.

Football's world governing body and president Gianni Infantino have guaranteed a range of tickets at a fixed cost of £45 for every game at next summer's tournament.

They will be allocated to the participating member associations - including the English FA - to then sell to members.

It will be around 10 per cent of the tickets they will give to each nation and while the numbers will be relatively small, it is still a clear change in policy and a victory for fans.
