BIRDS have local accents and learn songs from each other just like people do, boffins have discovered.

Younger creatures also come up with new styles of singing - similar to when teens introduce their parents to new genres of music.

Scientists at Oxford University studied more than 100,000 feathered critters to make the remarkable discovery.
