RORY MCILROY accidentally snubbed Tiger Woods' text of support as he changed number after his US his Open heartache.

The Northern Irishman was inundated with messages and revealed this week that Rafa Nadal and Michael Jordan were quick to to get in touch.

But Woods (inset) waited a week for it to calm down after the drama of Pinehurst when McIlroy missed two 4ft putts in the final three holes to allow Bryson DeChambeau to secure the title.
