King of the ring Dubois thanks old man Stan

NOT many trainers embrace a fighter’s father hanging around the gym and giving their charge instructions.

But when it comes to Daniel Dubois and his dad, Stan, it was obvious to trainer Don Charles that the father figure must loom large in camp.

That realisation was made clear when Dubois was fighting Jarrell Miller in 2023.

Promoter Frank Warren noticed that Dubois was looking into the crowd searching for his father during the bout.

So as the rounds got tougher, Warren ordered Stan to sit ringside near the corner and roar instructions or at least repeat what Charles was saying.
