THE traditional English breakfast could soon die out in favour of charcoal pancakes and chia seed puddings.

Generation Z - aged 13 to 28 - is fuelling an increase in healthy breakfast choices - and former faves such as bacon, eggs and sausages could become a thing of the past.

In a survey, 26% said they crave overnight oats, a dish where rolled oats are soaked in milk the night before eating, more than a fry-up.

And 16% of us would prefer charcoal pancakes or chia seed pudding - chia seeds soaked in almond milk over the traditional British breakfast.
