A ZOOKEEPER refused to fully clean animal enclosures and screamed and swore at a colleague, an employment tribunal has been told.

Lisa O'Hara, 36, claims she faced “degrading” treatment because of her ADHD when she worked at Edinburgh Zoo and is taking action against its owner the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

Kenna Valles, head trainer of the zoo's capuchin monkeys, told the tribunal in Edinburgh that Lisa consistently had difficulties with time management, missed training sessions and “refused” to undertake specific responsibilities.

Addressing claims of discriminatory behaviour, Kenna stated: "None of it was due to her ADHD.
