Hero recalls scramble to shut out vile killer

ONE of the heroes who helped shut killer Jihad al-Shamie out of the synagogue in the Manchester attack has told of worshippers’ scramble to secure the doors.

Alan Levy said he was in the car park when al-Shamie launched his ferocious seven-minute attack.

He told how after the attacker rammed a crowd with his car, he began “shoulder-charging the doors trying to get in”.

Alan, who ran inside, added: “He was throwing plant pots at the glass.
