KING Charles has spoken about the legacy of caring for the environment that he wants to continue after his death.
Already known for his heartfelt work highlighting green issues, the monarch has gone into detail about what he does personally, from planting trees to growing rare vegetables.
In a rare candid interview, he speaks about his passions and what drives him, shared childhood reminiscences, reflected on being mocked for talking to his plants and revealed the secret behind a favourite meal.
And he made poignant remarks about his own death, even giving thanks to God that he has lived so long.
Charles, 77, was interviewed for the Prime Video documentary Finding Harmony: A King's Vision, released on February 6.
In it, he speaks of his fears for declining wildlife, including the cuckoos and grasshoppers he used to hear on his own estates.
The King, who has been having cancer treatment for almost two years, said: "By the time I shuffle off this mortal coil there might be a little more awareness of the need to bring things back together again."
And while walking through trees in the gardens of his Highgrove residence and thinking about how long he has lived, he says:
