Sunak 'had seen letter saying Beijing was no enemy'

TORY complaints over the China spy trial collapse have been sunk by new evidence showing plans to call Beijing an “enemy” were axed under Rishi Sunak’s government.

Kemi Badenoch’s party has been accused of misleading the public with howls of faux outrage over the case.

Conservatives had criticised Keir Starmer's government for its handling of the case against Christopher Berry and Christopher Cash - accused of passing secrets to China between 2021 and 2023. They deny doing so.
