Robinson doesn't care about facing his old club as he wants full focus to be on Aberdeen's issues

CONCERNED Stephen Robinson insists his pending St Mirren return is not about him and all about keeping Aberdeen out the drop zone.

The Northern Irishman, who lifted the Premier Sports Cup with the Paisley side, knows all eyes will be on him as he makes his return just a few weeks after he quit for Pittodrie.

Robinson's side are just three points ahead of the Buddies, who sit just above second-bottom Kilmarnock on goal difference.

The Dons gaffer said: “It is not about me - it is about Aberdeen FC and this group of players.

“We have to handle that. We need to be big and strong, brave.

“I don’t care about the narrative about me.

“It is about us going and getting three points. That is the only thing we are going there for.

“We have to, to make sure we stay away from that relegation playoff place. That is the reality.”
